Summer Reading List - 2008 This summer you will be required to complete the reading assignments for your particular grade level to fulfill the summer reading requirement. Books and assignments must be completed by the first day of school. See below for details.
Seventh through Twelfth Grades
English:
Choose two books from the list below. Read the book. Write one page (typed or neatly handwritten) for each book telling:
1. Title and author of the book.
2. Brief summary (not from the Internet please!).
3. Theme - What did the author want you to learn or what was the main point of ths story?
4. What did you think of this book? Love, it, totally dislike it?
Both book reports are due to the Library on the first day of school. 10 points will be taken off for every day late after that.
I have copies of all the books in the Library.
*P.S. Plagarism of these book reports will result in a "0" test grade on the first 6 weeks English grade and you will do the report over again.
Doing a book report from watching a movie (movies leave out lots of material that is in the book!) will also earn a "0" test grade.
Any questions or book problems, call 826-5967 (Ms. Julie!)
