Junior and Senior Beta Club
Junior and Senior Beta Club is open to all students in grades 7-12 who maintain a 90 or above cumulative academic average. The club meets once each month and works to promote honesty, justice, service, cooperation, responsibility, industriousness, humility, and charity.
Student Government Association
The Student Government Association is made up of two members from each homeroom in grades 7-12. The SGA sponsors school-wide events during the year.
Yearbook Staff
The Yearbook Staff is open to hard working students in grades 11 and 12. The students are responsible for producing the school's yearbook. Students apply to the Yearbook Staff Committee during their sophomore year and are chosen based on attitute, work ethic, and desire to be involved.
Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a reading competition open to all students in grades 6-8. Students read 28 books and train for regional and state titles. Regional competition takes place at the Halifax Memorial Library in April or May.
Quiz Bowl
Quiz Bowl is a club made up of students in grades 9-12 who meet regularly to practice for the Quiz Bowl competition held in February. The members go over questions and answers in preparation of county, regional, and state competition. Topics include math, science, history, current events, and much more.
Math Counts
Math Counts is a math competition in which students train for regional and state titles. Math Counts is open to students in grades 7-9 who have a strong interest in math and a love of competition.
